Getting Ready for Christmas!
Maizie has been on the look out for Santa and his elf's...
She found these foot prints and Quickly grabbed the camera and took a pic so she had proof...! She had been on her Best Behavior, I hope they have seen her doing something Good!
I was cleaning up the family room and noticed something in the fire place.
I got a little closer and found this cute note taped up for Santa, from Maizie!
I about died when I saw all her darling curls laying on the counter.

Our Lil Service Project
So we finally wrapped up our "Service Project" and got them delivered to the
The bundles of cards we delivered!
I had to lay out some of them to show how Cute they turned out!
The kids have Mastered the art of tying blankets!
They all grabbed a corner and whipped out 23 blankets.

Here are some of the blankets we Delivered.
The kids are dropping off the Bags and Bags of Goodies!
The House was Amazing... we had to get Special Clearance to enter the gate and front door.

We got our own Personal Tour of the house. It was so Wonderful to see all the Good people have done to help others in need.

Some of my Favorite things about the Service Project:
Having my kitchen table full of cards, paper, glue, stickers for 3 days while we whipped out 23o cards! Nice Work Thompson Troop!
Having Millie be totally worried about the sick kids...
Millie: "I hope the sick kids don't throw up on each other.."
I had to laugh and Count my Blessings when we think "Sick" we think throwing up... Not Cancer!I'm thankful for my Healthy Family!
Watching the kids dig in and have Fun serving others.!
Our Tour of the McDonald Home, It helped see just how Blessed we are!
Watching the Primary kids glue up those cards.
Going to pick up the boxes of goods from the Demmick home the morning they were moving!

Lucky Me... I get to clean up the Grease!
The Jacksonville Jaguars are playing the Indianapolis Colts tonight.
Kade is for the Colts...

Kade got into his Jersey for LUCK!
We all curled up on the couch with Gmat's Famous Mint Brownies.

My Teacher
Last night Heath myself and Millie were laying on my
bed talking when
Out of the blue Millie says,
"My Dad is my Coach and My Mom is my Teacher. "
I said, "Oh yea what do I teach you?"
Millie says, "To cook."
She then proceeds to tell me how to make brownies...
"You turn the oven on. Get the eggs and smash them in the bowl with brown stuff.
Then you have to run open the door and let the smoke out...."
I guess I haven't left a very good impression on her with my cooking skills if what she remembers about making brownies is running and opening the door to let the smoke out...
Bummer!

Our Christmas Elfs
and oh did we find a Cute one!
The kids loved rummaging through the Christmas box to find all the ornament treasures and decorating the tree. I found myself following behind and tryed to even out the tree. It seemed to be bottom heavy... several places had 3 or 4 ornament's on each branch.
I loved to watch their Excitement as they Decorated the tree.
We couldn't help but Smile, after it was all decorated.
We climbed on the couch
turned off the lights and watched the tree glow! = Happiness!
I love this time of year for Many reasons... Here's a few.
-The smell of a Fresh Cut Tree...
-Turning on the Christmas tree lights each morning and night...
-Dancing to Christmas Music...
-Always being on watch for Santa's Elf's..
-Singing the song, "You better watch out, You better Not Pout over and over cause Maizie and Millie have asked me to sing it again.
-Making Hot Chocolate for all to share...
-Sitting on the couch each night quietly and enjoying the tree and lights...
-Writing and coloring to Santa... (My fridge is covered with art work for Santa)
-The warm-togetherness kind of feeling!
