Trial Run...

So Maizie is Always asking me to do her hair Curly... So I found these fun sponge curlers... We thought we would give it a "Trial Run"
I think it was a Success.. She has some soft curl and body. Next time I think I will get more curl now that I know how they work. After all this is a Trial Run.
Heath was mowing the Lawn this morning. It is a known fact that Millie belongs in the backpack on Dad's back when he mows the lawn. Heath was almost done before Millie realised Dad was mowing. She quickly ran out to help. Heath bent down threw her over his shoulders and off they went. Millie held on for her life and was all smiles! Who needs a backpack?... Last but not least this morning I woke up ready for something new for us to do...
Homemade Play Dough!

The Girls Loved It! Maizie played with it all morning long!
Two Cupcakes... One for You one for Maizie!
Play dough Recipe
2 Cups Water
1 Cup Salt
4 Tsp Cream of Tartar
4 Tbs Veg. Oil
2 Cups Flour
In a large pan begin with Water, Oil, Salt, and Cream of Tartar. Turn stove on to low to warm up
the mixture. Add the Flour and Stir Away. It will be Lumpy but just keep Stirring... You will know it is done when it pulls away from the pan and forms a ball.
I put mine on the counter and let it cool. Then divided into groups. I flattened out the play dough and added Gel food coloring and worked it into the play dough.
You can add Kool-aid or extracts to add Yummy Scents. I added some and it was almost too yummy and Millie wanted to eat it... so be watch out if you have a little Eater!
We used sea shells, birthday candles, straws, cheese grater, rolling pens, cookie cutters, scissors, cups, bowls and forks, to make fun shapes. Store them in a tupperware container and your good to go later when you want to play with it again!
Enjoy! We sure did!

You are Mother of the year! FUN! Ummm and could where you live be any more gorgeous? I did have to wonder if that gator would come up and get Heath while mowing! Love the curls. We do sponge rollers on Risi's hair a few times a week. Her hair is so much cuter with the big spiral curls, and she has too much for me use a curling iron - it would take HOURS! Trial run a success.

You are just the best mom! I will have to try that play dough recipe with Dallin and Mandy. I know they will LOVE it. Tell Maize that she looks BEAUTIFUL with curly hair. But then, I think that she looks BEAUTIFUL all the time :)

Again I am totally jealous of your weather. How about you find Steve a job and a house for me near you? I dread winter sooooooo much! Steve could always farm oranges or something.

Your gals are so beautiful! Everytime I read Maizie I wish I would have stuck to my guns with that name! However Quincy is a Quincy but Kassie could be Maizie.

I was also wondering if you have seen the aligator lately?

AND THE MOST IMPORTANT THING.... FRIDAY HIGHSCHOOL MUSICAL 3 COMES OUT!!! Do you have your tickets yet? I do but my girls do not know. I am going to pick them up from school and drive them straight the theater and then we are going to dinner. GIRLS NIGHT OUT!

I love watching your blog! Thanks for all the encouragement to be a better mom. LOVE YA ALL!

Maizie you are beautiful in in those curlers. . . and the fancy do. I can't believe Grandpa and I really coming for the Baptism! I find myself smiling all the time. The lawn moving looks like a Mormon Add, maybe you should send it in. Kelly, when you went to preschool at BYU with Mickael Slingerland, Stuart always counted the minutes mowing the lawn as Michaels personal time with his Dad. The poor kids never got near the lawn mover. But Millie looks like the queen of the hill, on top of the world. Heath I love your back packs, and your shoulders, and those precious moments when you have a sleeping child on your chest. Thank heavens for Dads!

What a fun day. Can I come play, too? Your kids just keep getting cuter and cuter. I can't believe how pretty they are getting.
