Halloween!

Getting in the Mood!
So we cooked up some Scones and decorated them with homemade Strawberry jam. YUMMERS!

And decided we were going to "Create" a Halloween Scene on the fridge. We started by Painting our Feet for Ghosts and our Hands for Bats. The Kids LOVED it!

We covered the doors with black paper. Kade made the Haunted house...
McKinnley created the tree... Madison did the moon...Maizie cut and colored the pumpkin and Millie donated body parts for us to paint. It was one of my Favorite parts of Halloween. I couldn't help but smile when I was in the Kitchen!
This is Heath and I after 4 hours of face painting at the school carnival. We made over $200.00 dollars for the kids classes. Each face paint was 50 cents.. We painted some Serious faces! Heath had Millie on his back in the back pack while, McKinnley, Madison, Kade and Maizie gathered friends and classmates over to our booth. Heath is sporting a Cat on his hand... it was our 1st time of face painting and boy did we Master the Sport! I even got asked if we do birthday parties?... We might take up a new Career?
This year the Primary was in charge of the Ward Halloween party. WOW! It's not easy putting on a party for the ward. My dear friend Laural Shaw and myself put on the Chili Dinner, games, photo booth, pumpkin carving contest and Trunk or Treat. It was a great night! But sooooo Glad it is Over!
Here's the Mighty Crew!
The Pirates... Mckinnley Raggedy-Ann, Madison a Tree Fairy, Kade "The Thing", Maizie Tinkerbell and Millie our Cheerleader!
For the Trunk or Treat we had "Thriller" blasting from the car and enjoyed dancing
as we gave out candy! So Fun!

A'hoy-Matey!
Heath and I started to the church Not dressed up but feeling guilty we made a b-line to the Dollar store to pick up our Pirate attire!
RRRRRRrrrrr!
Pirate Love!

Here is Kade Cleaning out the Ewe!

Madison Quickly joined in!

We picked out this Funky Pumpkin, only problem was it was about 3 inches thick...
Mighty hard to carve!

Here is the Final Product! Here's the Neighborhood Kids... Heath and I were the "Cool" parent's that walked a few steps behind the kids. Loved to watch Maizie run to keep up with the big kids. Loved to watch the big kids slow down to walk with Maizie. Love what good friends my kids are!
We ended up having 3 red heads for trick or treating,
and here are my Muscular Men! Hot!
Millie was totally content sitting in the stroller watching the kids..
What a blessing that was! We couldn't help but have a little fun ourselves!
After we took the loop the kids wanted to go for more. So I piled 8 squealing screaming girls in the car and drove them around for a bit. Miss Millie was my partner, She kept me company as the girls ran door to door.

We came home to Heath, a hot pot of chili and cheese bread!

SCORE!!
Happy Halloween!

What a post! What a Happy Halloween! I loved the cute fridge all done up! I loved all of the cute costumes! The Thompsons sure did it all up this year! The pirates were so cute! The scones looked delish! The jackolantern looked fabulous and I am impressed you just kept carving through that beast. The trick or treating looked fun and it looked like a winner of a Holiday! I don't know how you did all you did with the face painting, ward party and all while you were trying to pack up for a big trip. It makes me tired just thinking of it! Hope you had a fun week! Can't wait to see the post!

It is Monday morning and I am sitting in bed with Dad. He actually let me show him your entire blog and read everything to him. He is getting better all the time. I loved all the costumes! I can just imagine all your face painting. . . that was one of my favorite parts of Halloween. We almost had to hold Marshall down at first. You two will be looked for each Halloween. $200 that is a ton! Could that mean 400 paintings? Unbelievable! Dad liked the scone part, I loved the fridge and all the creativity. Maizie's close up face reminds me of Abbie. I love you all so much. We can hardly wait to come visit. Today is pretty bleak here, drizzling rain, and Sam is waiting for our walk. Florida is sounding pretty amazing. We are anxious to hear all the juicy details about your trip! Be safe, we love you bushels and a peck!

What a spooky fun halloween. You guys really know how to bring it on. Everybody looked fantastic. Glad you are home safe and sound and we can't wait to hear about your adventure across the sea. Everything you had to do just made my head spin. We made a fear factor room at Katry's school. I was in charge of making chocolate covered slugs. MMMM good. I am impressed with how much money you made. Way to go!
