The Thompson Swimmers

The Swim season has begun and boy are we having a BLAST! The kids weren't sure they wanted to be on the team this year as it is Hard work and would be a lot more fun to just be playing in the pool with friends. But Heath and all his Knowledge told the kids he wanted them on the team. And of course we are all LOVING it!
Each one of the kids raced several diffrent events and were worn out by the end of the match!
Miss Madison first match of the season and the first swim she was put in the IM which means....
4 laps, doing a different stoke each time.
Back stroke, butterfly, breast and freestyle ,
she had NEVER even swam the butterfly before...
so I was so Nervous for her...

She lined up ready to go... Look at her face it says: I am Determined to WIN!

Here is Heath swimming along with her yelling... Pull, Pull, Pull!
He Cheered all the kids to Victory!
Here is our Might long legged McKinnley...
She is the one that is in the farthest lane...
She glided into the water and swam her heart out!
McKinnley was in a relay with the girls in the first photo minus Madison.
Here is Kade. His First swim meet ever. Kade lined up and was a foot smaller than the other boys. Heath and I were nervous his heart would be broken getting smashed in his first meet.
He dove in and before we had a chance to get to the other side of the pool
Kade was all grins thrilled to have taken 1st place...
They all took home a First Place Ribbon!
Watch Out Micheal Phelps the Thompson's are in the Pool!

They look awesome!!! I still can't believe Kade won the first match he swam in. Amazing! We need to come watch them sometime and help cheer them on. Maybe it would inspire Dallin and Mandy to try even harder to learn to swim.

What fun years! Your kids will always remember the fun they had while living in Florida. I am so impressed with the ribbons! Way to go guys!!!!! My kids are seriously lacking in the swimming department. We swim but the correct strokes aren't too great. Maybe you could teach us a thing or two when you come. THey all look so cute in their suits and goggles. I can seriosly see some olympics in the future! Happy Days!

Here's a little swimmer's cheer: Taco, burrito, what's coming out of your speedo, you've got trouble-woooh, you're making bubbles- woooh. Float, float, float you're puttin' around like a motor boat with trouble- woooh, you're making bubbles- woooh!
So maybe that's a cheer for a swimmer with gas? But honestly, are you prepared to feed swimmers? Haven't you heard how much Michael Phelps eats every day? 12,000 calories a day! Anyhow, they look super cute! And good job. Maybe I should officially meet them one day?! Take care and good job cheerleaders!

Kelly...can I just tell you that swimming is such a great sport, not that I really know that much about it. But I sure wish I could use every stroke to get across the pool. I think it is great that your kids do it and do it well.

Dear Thompson's,

We don't swim in your toilet, so please don't pee in our pool.

When you accomplish something hard you are giving yourself a gift for life. You will always remember those hard earned ribbons. I am so proud of each of you!!!! Loved Madison's close up picture!!! Kade way to show those boys who is the boss. McKinnley you fly when it comes to the back stroke. Kelly please keep sending the pictures we want to heard all the news.
