A couple weekends ago Heath got the bikes all loaded up ready for a bike ride. Usually we go on a bike ride out in nature, but this time we headed down town Chicago and rode along the water.
It was full of people and excitement.
We couldn't help but stop and enjoy the water.
And stop and play at the beach...
Played in the sand...
collected rocks...
played football...
Did tricks in the sand...
Then cleaned up and went to find dinner.
Pizza and Rootbeer!
And Chocolate Cheese Cake!
Then we started our ride back...
It was a Perfect Fall Day!

I am always envious of all of your family time, espcially because they don't even complain about having to go with you. Your kids are the luckiest kids on the planet. Looks like a weekend to remember always.

Ahhh Chicago! Loved living there for a little bit. The cities feels so alive and vibrant. What a fun trip!
Looks like one incredible bike ride! The beach looks quite nice and warm! There is nothing better than Pizza and a little bit of pop, oh and chocolate to wash it all down with!! We had lots of practice with Chocolate on those sleepovers!! FUN MEMORIES!!

I take my hat off to Heath. He moves his family all over the country and then he helps them learn to love where they have nested. Who would dare to take their kids bike riding in down town Chicago? . . .only Heath! Isn't it great that your children are all old enough to venture out anywhere with you.
