Almost 2 weeks ago I woke up to do my normal routine, when I walked down stairs to my back door and garage door wide open... Strange since I had locked all the doors right before I climbed into bed. McKinnley was 2 steps behind me and I didn't want to scare her so I calmly shut the doors and began making breakfast. I then noticed my laptop and camera were missing off my kitchen counter. Things began to click and I ran into Heath's office to find things on the floor, cupboards open, his computer, phone, wallet and other things missing. I ran upstairs to tell Heath someone broke into our home. Some how Heath and I slept through the whole thing..? We called the police. They came took a report and took finger prints. Something a lil yucky about knowing someone has been in your home and took your stuff. I hate the feeling of being afraid in my own home... and the poor kids wont go into a different room with out me. Then to add to it all they ran off with ALL my pic. I had all my pic on both computers and in my camera... SO SAD! It makes me sick inside! I feel lost with out my camera to snap pic's of my kids and all the events that take place each day. After the police left I began to count my blessings that all they took was material things and
our family was safe and all together!
My Cute friend brought over a plate of lemon cookies and lemons with a sign that read:
"When life gives you lemons make Lemon Crinkles."
Wise Wise Advice!
So we will work through sharing one computer for now... not having a camera for a bit ... and learn to feel safe once again in our home...
And in the mean time... We will Celebrate the Small and Simple things that truly
bring us Happiness!
Like getting dressed up, building a fort and Creating Happy Memories all Together!

Oh my, that is so awful!!! I'm so sorry that happened to your cute family, but I'm very relieved to know nobody was hurt!! A good reminder for everyone!
I was wondering where you were! No blogs in a while! What a nightmare.
My car was broken into once and it was a really YUCKY feeling. I can't imagine my home! and it's so sad about your pictures! I am so sorry Kelly. Thankfully Heavenly Father kept you and your family safe that night! Give everyone hugs from us. Glad someone treated you with cookies!
What a bummer.... I am so sorry. I was missing your blogs. I am glad everyone is OK and you are all happy and together. I am every more sorry about the pictures. I agree that is super sad. At least you can always make more memories. I am glad you have good friends that brought you some yummy lemon cookies. I wish we were closer so we could come over and play some hide-N-go seek. You should turn the lights off and go to town.
Oh my gosh Kelly that is scary! I am so glad you are all okay, sad about the pictures.
Have you figured out how they got in?
My heart breaks for your little family! We hope you are somehow able to pick up the pieces and find things to love about it here!
My wise mother once told me, "You are stronger than you think." My wise husband has shown me that you can't let tragedy (whatever kind) dictate your happiness.
By golly, you show those BURGLAR TWIRPS who is boss! ; )
damn those robbers... mabey its a good thing you didnt wake up to them though because ive seen heath starteled and the guy has some serouse moves, they wouldnt have known what they got themselfs into :)
and you got a trip with mom out of it so lemonaid indeed!!!
Oh my goodness! I can't believe this happened to you. But you are right - you have to feel so very thankful that all they took were material possessions, not your most important possessions - you children. I hope they find the person that did it! We love you and are so glad that you are safe!
I'm so sorry something like this had to happen to you. Maybe Heath could say a blessing prayer over your house and family. My thoughts go out to you.
WOW Kelly! That is crazy stuff! Sounds like it is time to get an alarm installed!! Hope they find the sucker! So glad everyone is ok!
Kelly, Jamie's comments are great! Remember Heaths dog barking moves in our old house, Dad and I are hooting just remembering them. Now that feel like lemonade! Be Brave, Be Bold, and be the Boss! Nothing will prevail against the Thompson Troop! I love you and I really do miss you all. I feel like I am in withdrawal. I hope like heck you are feeling better today!
That is so freaky! I would be checking closets for days. And I'm so sorry about the pics. That would be the devestating part. At least you have the ones from your blog, right? Good luck!
