So tonight was a crazy night to say the least... starting with dance, a basketball game, wrestling pictures, a meeting for Regionals, and a Court of Honor. We raced home tired, hungry, and cold. We were way behind the 8 ball. Heath ordered Pizza, and was thankful for the pizza delivery dude! We grabbed some pizza, the kids grabbed homework, we turned on the Presidential debate and tried to multitask. I was testing Maizie on her spelling tests while trying to listen to the debate. When all of a sudden Kade announced "Hailey (our fish) is dead!" The night turned from Crazy to COMPLETE Mayhem! The tears began to flow.. and I suddenly knew we had to regroup, give hugs, wipe tears, brush teeth and go to bed! Maizie is so tender...it's so hard for her to accept that her fish is gone. I got everyone tucked in and Maizie and I tried to go over the spelling words but Maizie couldn't stop crying and every other minute she had a question or comment to make about Hailey. The thought came to me.. Who Cares about the spelling test...? I climbed in bed with Maizie and we talked as I tickled her back until she finally... fell asleep.
The house is now Quite.. the kids are asleep... I'm in bed with Heath and
Thankful for Crazy days like these!

Maizie you are such a tender little lady, I want to little girl so I can experience the sweetness that comes from them! We sure love you and hope Hailey is happy in her new home.
Soo Sad. I am so so sorry to hear about little Hailey. What a sweet mom to forget about the ever important spelling test and cozy up with her little one! So glad that crazy day is over for you and your cute family and I hope Maizie feels better soon.
Wow that is a crazy day! I have days like those frequently but they have a dying fish at the end. Poor Mazie, give her a hug for me...she's such a doll!
That sounds oh so familar! Sometimes I wonder what our house looks like at night from an outsider looking in. Maham would describe it. We have been faithful debate watchers too. Jason won't miss 1 second of any of it! And he has gotten me pretty hooked. Just not so realistic to sit down and watch it all the way he somehow manages to. :) I wondered if you were catching it last night with it being in FL and all. I'm sorry about Hailey! I am actually impressed that the THompsons have a pet. What lucky kids! I'm glad that you gave up on the spelling and layed by Maizie. Much more important. Tell Maizie I love her! That picture of her is SO CUTE! She is growing up. Can't wait to give you a hug in less then a week:) (I wonder how the kids will get their homework done with their Dad glued to FOX news all night?) Love you!
Hey Maizie-may! SO sorry to hear about Hailey...I had fish when I was your age and I loved them as much as you do! I'm so proud of you for taking such good care of your fish! Hailey is in Heaven now!
We love you, Maizie! Keep your chin up and good luck on your spelling!
Oh I love the picture of Maizie and her story. She is such a tender heart. I am thinking of her and Sammie in the sky. Maybe it should be Hailey in the sky. I miss Sam. He is the most faithful dog to always follow me around the hills. We are suppose to learn things from these quiet pets. Tell Maizie I love her and I can't wait to come to her baptism. Her hair is long and she is almost eight. Impossible! I love you all. Who cares about spelling! Can't wait to have some good long talks in about 6 days!
