This year for the 4Th we decided we needed to try something we had Never tired before...
We drove to Orlando Friday morning and spent the night in a hotel... the morning of the 4Th we slept in and enjoyed the morning... for lunch we head out to one of our Favorite Mexican joints. 
We did a little shopping, packed up our coolers with drinks and treats and headed to Daytona for The Dayton Coke 400 Nascar Races.
When we got inside this Nice police officer came over to admire our Large family and told us he would let us on to the Field... we did not purchase field tickets but, with the Flash of his badge we were on the field. He even took several photos for us!
Thank you Officer!
We enjoyed some Nascar Nachos 
and Fresh Squeezed Lemonade...De~lish! 
Kade found the car he wants when he turns 16!
We were able to go up to some of the cars....
Before we knew it the races were about to Start!

We were only 6 rows from the cars going 200 mph...
Leaving a couple of us Worn Out!
But everyone woke up to Enjoy the Firework show!
It was AMAZING!
We were only 6 rows from the cars going 200 mph...It was UNBELIEVABLE how FAST they went...
The last lap of the race two cars recked right in front of us... we had the smoke and debris flying all over us!
It was one EXCITING night!

i think i might be a little worn out from a day like that.it looks like it was oh so much fun. im glad you had som tasty nochos it just wouldnt be a thompson party without the nachos. love all the single photos.
I thought about you guys all day. Jason would have LOVED to have been there with you. Looks like a perfect 4th celebration. Love all the red white and blue! What a darling family you have no wonder the officer was hooking you all up. Love all the photos! I never got my 4th family shot. And I am still mad about it. Yours were all top notch. I am in love with you Millie! She is so ADORABLE! Wish she knew her aunt Kim a little better. Let's work on that in August. Glad you had fun! xoxo

Fantastic fun! I've never been to a Nascar event but I've heard they are great. So glad you got to have some fun together. And where is that mexican place or was it just taco bell? lol
All I can say is that I love reading your blogs!! We missed you on the 4th!! Mel blasted some awesome fireworks up at the pool! I know we will get to take a walk one of these days!! My Mom is in town right now and then we fly out to TX 7/14. Wish us good luck on traveling w/ twins!! : )

Kelly that last picture should be your Christmas Card, it is so great! I can just feel the excitment in the air. I love the picture of Heath with Millie on his back. What a fun way to celebrate the 4th. You will always remember that one. I am so anxious to hear about your change of plans about Utah. When are you really coming? I will call you in the morning to get the scoop.
